Christmas Pantomime in Altinkum

On Wednesday 7th December 2011, for the fourth year running, residents of Altinkum,Didim and Akbuk will take to the stage for a traditional Christmas Pantomime in aid of children’s charity ‘Cocuklar Aglamasin’ (Don’t Cry Children).
The venue this year is the new Theater in the Ticaret Odası which is on the road that leads from Ataturk Bulvari to the Didim Devlet Hastanesi (Hospital).
The Panto is based on the Tale of Dick Whittington who, in traditional panto, becomes Lord Mayor of London.
The Didim Version entitled ‘Dick Withering’, runs along the same vein but has been written for a local Didim audience.
As usual, the script is littered with Turkish phrases that the audience can join in with and learn along the way, song & dance routines and plenty of innuendo to keep the adults entertained.
Come along to cheer the hapless hero and boo the nasty baddies for an evening of great fun and entertainment.
The after panto party this year will be held at Roof Top Bar where the cast will boogie the night away in full costume, so bring your camera along and join in the fun.
Tickets are only 7 YTL and are on sale at Le Figaro Hair & Beauty Salon nr Dolphin Square and Delicious Cafe, just off the Ataturk Bulvari (across the road from Valentines).
There are no ticket sales on the door this year so get your tickets fast!
Performance starts at 7pm.
